Skin Biopsies
Skin biopsies are performed by Clayton Dermatology Group in order to properly identify and diagnose a variety of skin conditions.
A skin biopsy removes a small sample of skin determine if tissue is cancerous, a rash, an infection or another condition. Depending on the area in question, your doctor may choose from a variety of biopsy methods. The tissue removed by your doctor is processed and examined by a pathologist under a microscope to determine any abnormality. Results may take one to two weeks to process fully.
